NUSF partners with PSUs and private organizations with CSR policy focusing on skill development and creates programmes to mobilize growth in various industries. This enables various socially responsible corporate bodies to do their bit economic growth in sectors beyond their core areas. As a CSR partner, NUSF typically takes up initiative like:
Captive Skill Training Centres
Setting up Captive Skill Training Centres in location of interest to the corporate partners; typically in urban slums and rural areas.
Livelihood Promotion Centres
Setting up NUSF Livelihood Promotion Centres for employment and self- employment generation programs for women on handicrafts, weaving, tailoring, soft toy making, pickle and jam making etc. where entrepreneurship sponsored by Government of India scheme “MUDRA”
Setting up primary health camps is one special initiative to provide Healthcare Services to meet the immediate healthcare needs of the marginalized community in the rural areas and slums through Stand alone camps. Other services like corporate sponsored mobile clinics, 24/7 online doctor consulting services; sanitary napkin making, general duty assistant programs are also the part of our healthcare initiative
Association of NUSF with National Institute for the Orthopaedically Handicapped
NUSF collaborated with NIOH to train Thirty Four (34) People with Disability (PWD) in the courses like “Training with cut”, “Pickle & Jam making” and “Soft Toy making”. The objective of the course was to bring these physically challenged individuals to light from the darkness of their fear of not being able to make career of their own. Post training the candidates has come out as confident individuals who are not afraid of their physical challenges and proceeding towards a futuristic career.
A Job Fair presented by NUSPL is a unique platform where job seekers can meet, interact and interview with several top companies. The prospective job seekers communicate with employers and recruiters through face-to-face interaction, filling up resumes and asking questions in an attempt to get an idea on the work needed to be done. NUSPL has organized job fairs in Pan India, places such as Kolkata, Durgapur, Mizoram, Mangadoi on trades like Hospitality & Tourism, Retail, Beauty & Wellness, IT/ITes. The average participation rates are 300 plus and companies like Genpact, Bajaj Finserv, Pantaloons Retail, Café Coffee Day, Rozzana, Kochar Info Tech, Rebirth Salon, True Wellness Spa & Saloon, Sparsh 'N' Smart Unisex Saloon, Hinduja Global Solution, Technocrat Solution, Retreats Hotel & Resorts, Sayaji Group of Hotels have participated to make our Job Fairs a grand success.
